In contrast to the traditional “I teach, you listen” training model, the Experiential Training model is predominantly activity-based, focusing on the participant’s ability to “learn by experiencing, or doing.”
People are diverse in how they learn, typically falling into one of the following four learning categories:
Somatic (physical)
Auditory (hearing)
Visual (concepts & graphics)
Intellectual (reflection)
The Experiential Training model utilizes varied approaches, thereby engaging all learning types and maximizing the learning for each participant. Participants don’t just hear information and see Powerpoint presentations. By focusing on “total learner involvement,” they engage in real learning that translates to real application in the real world.
